About Us

Meet Irina & Alfred

Every article on this site is shaped by two distinct lived experiences — a woman's and a man's. That's not a gimmick. It's the whole point. Most relationship advice comes from one angle. We think the honest picture only emerges when you look at both.

Irina

♀ The Female Perspective

Co-Founder & Author

I've spent years watching the people around me — friends, family, colleagues — navigate the full spectrum of relationships: first dates that went nowhere, long-term partnerships that slowly fell apart, and unexpected connections that turned into something real.

What I noticed is that women often have a very clear internal sense of what they feel and want — but struggle to understand why men behave the way they do, and vice versa. That gap is what I write about. Not theory. What I actually see happening.

Alfred Hummer

♂ The Male Perspective

Co-Founder & Author

I'm Alfred, originally from Austria. My background is in education — I spent years as a teacher working with teenagers, which meant being close to the age when dating patterns, insecurities, and relationship expectations first form.

That experience gave me a perspective most dating writers don't have: I've seen the early roots of the habits that later shape how adults connect, attract, and sometimes push each other away. I write from that observational angle — curious, direct, and without an agenda.

What We Stand For

There's no shortage of relationship advice online. Most of it is either too soft to be useful or too prescriptive to be realistic. Here's what makes our approach different:

Observation Over Theory

We write from what we've seen, not from textbooks. Real patterns from real people, described as plainly as possible.

No Taking Sides

We don't write for men against women or women against men. Relationships involve two people, and we try to honor that honestly.

Direct & Practical

If the advice can't be acted on, it's not useful. We skip the vague empowerment language and get to the point.

No Credentials Pretense

We're not therapists and we won't pretend to be. What we offer is an honest outside perspective — two sets of eyes that have been paying close attention.

What You'll Find Here

We cover the full arc of modern relationships — from the first nerve-wracking message to the long-term dynamics that make or break partnerships:

  • Flirting & Attraction — what creates chemistry and what kills it, from both sides
  • Finding Love — the patterns that lead to real connection versus the ones that don't
  • Relationships & Connection — what happens after the spark, and how to keep it honest

How We Approach Every Article

We don't have a psychology degree — and we think that's worth being upfront about. Here's what we do have, and how we use it:

Start with a real pattern we've noticed

Every article starts with something we've genuinely observed — not a trend we read about, but a behavior or dynamic that kept showing up in the relationships around us.

Look at it from both sides

We deliberately consider the female and male experience of the same situation before writing anything. Where they differ, we say so. Where they overlap, that tends to be where the real insight lives.

Keep it honest, not comforting

Comfortable advice is easy to write. Honest advice is harder — especially when the honest answer is "you might be the problem here." We try not to flinch from that.

Human review before anything goes live

Research tools and AI may assist in drafting and structuring. Every article is read and approved by one of us before it's published — we stand behind what we put out.
